About me
Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District is a public agency dedicated to providing high-quality water to over 700,000 residents in Salt Lake County. Our vision is to empower a thriving community through sustainable, innovative water management while safeguarding resources for future generations. We are committed to water conservation through various programs and educational initiatives, including the Conservation Garden Park, our demonstration garden that promotes sustainable landscaping practices. https://localscapes.com/, https://jvwcd.org/, https://conservationgardenpark.org/, https://www.utahwatersavers.com/
Localscapes® offers a landscaping approach tailored to Utah’s unique climate, helping homeowners and businesses create water-efficient, beautiful landscapes that thrive in the local environment. Through workshops, resources, and certifications, Localscapes simplifies the process of designing landscapes that conserve water.
Our Utah Water Savers programs, administered jointly with water district partners across the state and the Utah Division of Water Resources, provide financial incentives for residents and businesses to replace turf with water-wise plants and switch to more efficient irrigation methods like drip systems. These turf replacement incentives encourage water-smart alternatives, helping conserve this vital resource for future generations.
