About me
Salt Lake County's Watershed Planning & Restoration Program has planned and organized the Watershed Symposium since 2007. And we are thrilled to see how it's grown. This annual conference fulfills an important part of our program mission...to involve and engage the public and stakeholders in issues related to watershed health and management.
Other Watershed Program goals include integrated watershed planning, stream data collection and analysis, and stream restoration and protection. Our scientific assessments and restoration projects are carried out on a cooperative partnership basis with local municipalities, service districts and state/federal agencies. Notably, the program typically leverages local financial contributions with federal and state grants targeted at specific stream or lake restoration measures to accomplish its goals.
